Have you ever heard the statement, “whatever it takes to get the shot”? I would totally agree with that except in a situation where it might harm the photographer, the client, or an innocent bystander.  Or, more importantly, if it causes embarrassment to the photographer.  Thankfully, I can totally laugh at myself, as during this shoot, I was doing one of those, “whatever it takes to get the shot” shots.  I was standing on the bed getting some photos of baby W (of course with the camera strap around my neck…) when all of a sudden, I lost my balance.  So, I did what any photographer would do, I held my camera up in the air, and did everything I could to fall away from the baby.  And with that, I gracefully fell back off the bed, into a laundry basket, and rolled onto the floor!  Oh man, we had a good laugh about that one, and no injuries whatsoever!

I have really enjoyed getting to know this family.  They signed up for the “maternity through baby’s first year” package with me, and this shoot was baby W’s four month session.  You can see her beautiful maternity photos, and the newborn shoot, too. Enjoy the photos!
