40th Birthday Party ~ Manhattan Beach event photography

I had the opportunity to photograph a 40th birthday party last weekend at the Shade Hotel and Zinc Lounge. I love a birthday party where the guest of honor’s guest list includes her parents, in-laws, family, friends and kids, too. Besides having a rockin’ DJ, they had a fantastic band play a few songs in the outdoor patio. The best part was when the birthday gal’s husband got up on stage with the band and performed a song that he had written for her. It was then that he also revealed that he had secretly been taking guitar lessons so that he could play along with the band. Now, that is true love!
